There has been a lot of comment in the Internet about the Senate passing the extension for the Home Buyer Tax credit, for qualified purchases with contracts signed by April 30.

The amendment is tied to the Tax Extenders Act which includes provisions for unemployment insurande and other tax credits.

The actual bill has not passed.

So we are still in limbo - or rather the 180,000 estimated buyers who will not make the present June 30 deadline to close their qualified purchases.
